Louisville, Colo. — LENA, a national nonprofit on a mission to transform children’s futures through early talk technology and data-driven programs, announced new kindergarten readiness data will be unveiled at its October webinar, “Rethinking School Readiness.”

The data will show participating children in the LENA Grow program are 2x as likely to demonstrate kindergarten readiness. The data sets were collected in controlled studies from three different school districts and three differing readiness assessments, all achieving similar results.

The webinar will feature a conversation with University of Minnesota Professor Emeritus Scott McConnell, one of the nation’s leading voices in child language development, as well as K12 and early childhood educators with direct experience using LENA Grow.

“This is the most exciting data we’ve produced at LENA,” says LENA’s Chief Research and Evaluation Officer, Jill Gillkerson. The organization is excited to use this data to prove the smart way forward for preparing children for kindergarten is to build deeper collaboration between ECE and K12 through early talk.

The Webinar will be hosted live by LENA on October 30 at 1:00 p.m. ET. A recorded version will be available following the event. More information can be found at info.lena.org/school-readiness.
